This Page Is Devoted To Auctioning Cues
If you are looking to steal a cue here, then you are at the wrong web site. I expect a fair market price for my knowledgeable work and skill just the same as you do. If you want to steal a cue with genuine poached, smuggled ivory (that is smuggled into America from a third-world country where you can buy a child for $300 or even less), and you want that junk shipped across international borders in violation of international and United States Federal laws, then you are most definitely at the wrong web site.
To buy cheaply (steal) stolen goods, junk cues, counterfeit cues of famous makers like Szamboti and Balabushka and counterfeit anything you should go to ebay, not here. Some counterfeit cues of mine have been sold to America and Germany with someone even placing a copy of my logo on them! "Linds" claimed he did it, on the Filipino owned forum called EPT.
A cue auction will begin August 28, 2008
The auction starts Thursday morning, August 28, at 6 and ends August 30, Saturday morn at 7.
It does not have joint protectors and has one shaft. The shaft is genuine old-growth that was cut back between 1820 and 1860 and was submerged in water for more than 100 years.
I built the EW 08-0013 and the EW 08-0014 at the same time. The EW 08-0014 was given away as a birthday present and this EW 08-0013 is the one for auction. I will show photos of the EW 08-0014 in two weeks or so when the wrap is finished.
Length: 59 inches

Weight: 19.5 ounces
More can be seen following this link: EW 08-0013
This auction is finished. This cue-butt, one shaft, and no joint protectors built by QP Custom cues sold for $2,953.00
I have learned that next time I will sell a cue-butt with two shafts and 3 custom protectors. A good lesson has been learned.
Auction for the MS 08-0003 is over. The winning bid was $5,688.89
If you win the bid on this cue you must fly to my shop, because I will not send this cue across international borders in violation of world-wide treaties. The Joint and butt cap are ivory. This is estate ivory I bought in America from the Mennonite "museum-man". Do not bid on this cue and then ask me to mail it across international borders. I will not mail it out. I hope this is clearly stated.
This is my first auction since the gasoline price increase and that also may be somewhat of a problem. So let us just see what happens with this cue.
The eagle and American flag are hand scrimshawed. I do not take short-cuts like using tattoo decals or tattoo transfers and then using a electric tattoo needle. If some of you use that method then that is fine and it is your business to run, but it is tattooing, not scrimshawing. Scrimshawing is done by hand without electrical devices. I do not tattoo ivory.
I opt for the time-honored traditional method where everything is hand-drawn, the colors are mixed by hand from india inks, and a needle is pushed, by hand, into the ivory to form dots which altogether form the picture. This method I use takes dozens or hundreds of hours to do.
The Exotic Wood Indian 0004 took more than 2,400 hours to do by hand, my method. With an electric tattoo needle it could have been done in less than 300 hours, but it would not have had the great detail you gain by my method.
The photos are of the cue with one shaft, but it comes with two shafts to the highest bidder.
I will place all bids only on this page beginning below these photos. I know this may sound stupid, but can we not have everyone crowding in at the end trying to outbid each other on this cue. How about bidding much earlier. :-)

Weight: 19.10 ounces. Will know for sure by Wednesday (June 25, 2008), but 19.25 ounces is within 1/20th of an ounce to true weight. This cue is ebony with hard-rock maple under the wrap and is not cored. Lets see you cue makers figure out how I kept the weight down so low. :-)
This letter was sent to me by a computer-smart person on June 26, 2008:
"Ronnie,
I did some investigation on statistics comparing your website to the websites of the 3 men whom have tried to ruin you.
Your traffic ranking is 3, 900,000. Considering there are over 4 billion websites you rank as one of the top 3 custom cue websites.
The main one who attempted to ruin your business is very low at 14,000,000.
The one who initially started the fight has one web site that does not even rank and is about to expire, unless renewed. It will not be renewed. He also has another site located in The Philippines which has the low rank of 27,942,920, which is to say he has failed in cuemaking.
And the man that stole your copyrighted photo of Efren Reyes receiving his cue from you fell 47,000 websites lower in his ranking (22%) since he stole the photo and slammed you. This means he lost 22% of his viewers since stealing from and slamming you. I bet he doesn't understand why his income fell and the other two do not understand why their businesses have failed.
The man that informed you the photo thief makes his money by hits on his website was correct. He is only using the names of Mr. Efren and others to make money for himself.
Thought you might want to post these statistics on your site.
You are in the top 1% of the world's websites. A very good accomplishment."
Then the same man sent this:
Ronnie:
I redid my figures and you web site not only is in the top 1%, but in the top 1/10 of 1%. Amazing since you do not have the usual go-getter, porn."
Bids will be placed here.
Ok, thank you both. The winning bid was $5,688.89
This auction was a surprise in four areas.
A. The number of bidders was never more than 18 all total. This is the lowest for any auction I have ever had.
B. Only two men from America bid and both stopped around $4,900.00 Both said they would pick up the cue at the world ten-ball championship this year if they won the bidding. As it turns out the winner will also pick up his cue at the same tournament. He is from Shanghai, China. I have know this man for many years.
C. The ivory on the cue hurt the bidding. I was told this by several bidders and several who said they would not bid on this one because they did not want to fly in to pick it up..
D. This was the closest auction I have ever had. The second highest bidder's last bid was $5,688.88 He is from Taiwan and already has two of my cues, but he lost only by one penny!
This had a high bid of $4,555.55 going to a Chinese cue collector who already has many of my cues.
This cue is the EW 07-0006 and is 58 inches long and you can see a few other photos here: EW 07-0006

Joint: Flat-faced with Aegis collar

Joint pin: 3/8-10 aircraft aluminum
Length: 58 inches

Weight: 19.6 ounces
Wrap is white with black specks and finished to perfection.

The forearm is purple-heart and has six ivory colored inlays. I do not know whose design, but credit goes to the original inventor of this pretty design. I first saw it on a finely made Samsara cue.
The Butt sleeve is also purple-heart wood and has 6 ivory colored french diamonds.
Each of the deco-rings has 10 ivory colored, smaller, french diamonds.
Shafts: Two old growth rock maple salvaged from the bottom of a great lake in America. These were cut between 1820 and 1840.

Please excuse the slightly out-of-focus photo.
The joint sleeve is aegis and the butt cap the same.
The black borders around all inlays is ebony wood.
Thanks to all of you.
Below here are cues from previous auctions going back months and months ago.
This cue sold around July 15, 2007 or so and has a new home in The Philippines.
It comes with two genuine old-growth hard-rock maple shafts that were recovered from a lake bottom after being there for over 130 years. These are the real McCoy's.

The tips are 12.66mm and are my super-low Prodigy shafts. These are 3 steps better than Predator's best.
This cue is 59 inches long and weighs 19.25 ounces and can be seen here: EW 07-0003
This 1/2 cue has sold for $275. See details and bidding below.
The following photos show a cue before and after a home-run hitting swing.
The auction is for the cue-butt only. No shafts, no joint protectors and no wrap. Just like you see it in all of its gory (not glory, but gory - , broken.) :-)
The auction starts on Monday morning United states Eastern standard time at 8 a.m. and ends the next day 24 hours later on the 10th of July.
Before being broken:

After hitting the home-run this is the condition of the cue-butt you will receive.

:-(
The bidding is over. This broken cue sold for a high bid of $275.00
I want to thank all of you bidders and the watchers world-wide.
June 12, 2007 - I received bids the next day, which had dates proving they had been sent before the auction was finished, 3 were more than the $275 winner. I am going to have to change web hosts and change from g-mail. I have had nothing but troubles from this terrible g-mail. Hope to locate a new web host within two weeks. One of the bids was $346.00
Sold
These photos were placed here on my home page on Friday, May 4, 2007 at 8:15 a.m. United States Eastern Standard Time. That is 8:15 p.m. Taipei time.
The offer was the first $5,000 gets this cue with a black lizard skin wrap. It was gone within an hour.
This cue only has been painted one session with two layers of clear-coat. The wrap area has only been painted for one inch on each end (there is 10 inches in the wrap area that is sealed, but not yet painted.).
This cue will be painted many more times before I place a black lizard wrap on it. It will most definitely look much better than it does in these photos. Two layers of paint do not cover a cue well at all.
The man who originally thought up this design was a smart man. Credit goes to Predator for the initial inlay design. Their original inlays were white into a black cue, which is easier than what I have done here, much easier. I have placed a black border on the inside and outside of this cue and that black border is ebony wood. I personally do not like the inlay, but it sure is the right inlay for this cue. I would never have imagined that the ivory color would have looked so well in this wood. I am very pleasantly surprised at how well it looks.

This is the most beautiful wood that I have ever seen in a cue and I have enough for three more cues. .. er . . . . .one going to Singapore, then another MAYBE, to America (the man keeps saying he is going to pay and does not).....so for sure I have one piece I can sell and maybe a second one.......maybe.
The cue can be seen here MS 07-0005 after July 25, 2007 with wrap installed and scrimshaw at both ends.
Scrimshaw finished photos on June 28, 2007 are below:

Well, well, smart me! No wonder the cue sold for less that I had imagined. I listed the auction ending on the April 28th, but also had it ending (Typed in Friday) on Friday, which is the 27th. One collector told me that he went to this auction page one hour before bidding was to end on Saturday so he could bid and found the auction had ended almost 24 hours before! Yes-sir, I do not think I will ever be a rocket scientist. No doubt it would have brought more if I had a brain and allowed it to stay on auction for the extra day I originally meant to.
A few more photos can be seen here Master Scrimshaw 07-0008 Cue

The winning bid is from an Asian bidder (and this is his fourth or fifth cue of mine) and it was $5,555.55
Compared to the EW 07-0001 cue, then add the hours and hours of scrimshaw done to this cue, the buyer got a deal with the scrimshaw work only costing him between $7 and $8 per hour.
I have nine other cues that I started scrimshawing years ago and only need from three days to a week on eight of them to finish. I will make time for some of them this year, but no idea when.
I do have one that has a three-sectioned ivory handle (Wrap area), but it needs two solid weeks of work. I was hoping to finish it sometime this year, but may not be able to get to it.
Auction ended February 12, 2007 for this EW 07-0001. It sold for a high bid of $3,001.00

I personally was surprised when the cue went so cheaply. I was expecting at least $3,600 to $4,000.
Three more similar cues to this one have been sold and sometime in the summer they will be shown. (note placed here 7-08-2007)
I do have one more piece from the same board that this cue came from, that no one has yet asked about. (placed here on 7 - 08 -2007)
The bidding is over at 8 a.m. Saturday October 14, 2006.
The high bid is $4,488.88
I have said this before and will say it again: Some of you are scratching your heads and saying to yourselves,
"Why in the world do his cues sell for $4,500 and up when 90% of the other cuemakers would sell the same cue for $2,500?"
The answer is simple: It's not the same cue! It looks the same on the outside, but it's so different! It's the inside of the whole cue, not just the shaft, (I said the whole cue!) that gives every cue its hit! The inside of each of my cues are like no other cues currently being made in this whole world, but in my little ole shop!
I do three things to my cues that I am sure no one else does. There are two men whom I think may have discovered one of these three things.
And these three things that I do give my cues their special and unique hit. I do have other secrets, but am sure that most good cuemakers know most of these.
So why do people who-are-in-the-know love my cues? Why do they actually rave about my cues?
It's the hit and spin, the hit and spin, the hit and spin my cues have!
Now my cues give more of an advantage when playing on the new slower cloth. My cues give more spin to the ball without having to hammer the shot . . . less swerving with my cues...., a definite advantage now for sure, because you can shoot softer on slower cloth and still get the same or more spin as you get from your current cue. Look here to see what a lady pro had to say after putting down her predator equipment and changing to my cue and shafts: Lady Pro's opinion of a QP Cue
Lady Pro's opinion of a QP Cue
The bidding is over at 8 a.m. Saturday October 14, 2006.

Below is the ER 0004 It sold on auction for $5,778.00 on Saturday June 1, 2006.
The first ever QP ER Series Cue to be auctioned was the QP ER 0003. The QP ER 0001 was borrowed by Efren Reyes. The QP ER 0002 went to a friend who is 6 foot 5 inches tall. What he paid is confidential. But in April 2007 I am close to finishing this man's fourth QP Custom cue.
Then there is the QP ER 0003 (See in the next section of this page), which I originally planned to auction to find the market price. But the QP ER 0003 received such a surprisingly high bid ($5,888.88 on February 7th, 2006) that I must auction this QP ER0004 to be sure of a price based on what the public is willing to pay.
There is one man, in the cue business, that keeps telling me that when a person shoots with my cue a few minutes they have to buy one. He said I make a cue that has the most unique hit and balance he has ever played with and that I am selling my cues too cheaply.
Did you know that now (in 2006) that there are people in England that have been on a waiting list for years and years for fine shotguns from a few master gun makers? They are paying $80,000 for a fine bird gun. Without exception everyone of these master gun-makers are perfectionists.
Why not pay a few thousand for a cue made by a perfectionist that will give you years of enjoyment? Fine things take time to make, are expensive when hand made, but can last more than a lifetime if treated properly. And usually do not loose their resale value.
So far everyone of my cues that have been resold (3 have been resold) have sold for a price higher than what the original owner paid for them.
The QP ER 0004

To see the 8 points in the forearm just look at the QP ER0003 for the ER0003 has the same exact forearm configuration.
This cue will come with a cue ball signed by Efren "Bata" Reyes, a "QP" Logo, and a certificate of authenticity. I will never run out of cue balls signed by Efren Reyes to go with the QP ER Series cues.

If you see one of my cues for auction, or for sale, other than through this site, please contact me to ensure it's authenticity.
As my cues sell for comparatively high prices I am sorry to say I do get targeted by a few Philippine one-week cue makers. In one case they actually put a gold (plated, no doubt) "QP" into their junk and sold it as a QP Cue!
Since the above paragraph was written in 2005 a failed cue manufacturer who sells his Philippine-made cues under the brand name of "Linds Cues" (sig) has bragged on a forum that he took photographs of one of his men inlaying a copy of my Gold QP Logo into some of his junk cues. I was told already he was one of two counterfeiters and now he has admitted as much.
Many cues have been sold from this page and details of all the cues can be found on the individual dedicated pages within their Series.

does have a nice sharp hit. I rate it with ebony, zircote.
In my opinion this cue is among the top 5 most beautiful
I have ever made.
